The Leeuwin II is Western Australia's own Tall Ship, a 3-masted barquentine with over 810 square metres of sail and a length overall of 55 metres. The ship is operated by the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation, a private non-profit organisation based in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Leeuwin provides a wide range of voyages to suit all ages and interests and all programs aim to provide opportunities for personal growth and development through personal challenge and experiential learning.
The primary area of operation is along the coast of Western Australia and the Northern Territory, with voyages ranging in duration from short as a 3 hours up to 12 days.
Setting up a participant to sail on the Leeuwin was a lengthy task, taking into consideration such things as medical conditions, special dietry requirements and pick-up points. With their new booking system, Leeuwin staff are no longer tied with bookings....
